SOUTH BEND, IN., April 9, 2012 – More than just the tulips are popping up in South Bend, IN this time of year. The latest addition to the Eddy Street Commons – BIGGBY COFFEE (1130 Angela Blvd. Suite 101) – will be in full bloom on Tuesday, April 24 as the store celebrates its grand opening with the community by offering 99 cent tall, hot or iced Caramel Marvels all day long!

The Caramel Marvel, BIGGBY’s number one selling drink for more than 17 years, will act as a great introduction to the wonderful world of BIGGBY COFFEE as this store marks the company’s first location in the city of South Bend. The celebration continues throughout the week; with a different drink only 99 cents each day. To view the special and print to coupons, visit: http://bit.ly/HTp92w

“We are very happy to say that South Bend will finally have a BIGGBY COFFEE,” Lisa Russell, store co-owner, said. “This is a great community with the perfect mix of students and professionals. We are definitely excited to introduce BIGGBY to everyone here and the support we have already received from other business and residents has been wonderful.”

Along with Russell, her sister Michelle Hardaway, and their mother, Kathleen Baginske, will own and operate the store together. With previous experience in the quick service restaurant industry, the local business owners said they are looking forward to becoming involved with the community and nearby Norte Dame University.

“Our location is perfect for studying and as a meeting place for faculty of the university and for the community in general,” Russell said. “We have met some great people here and are excited to be a part of the area and get involved as much as we can.”

Along with the world’s best coffee, espresso based beverages, frozen drinks, tea lattes and smoothies, the store will also feature free Wi-Fi access and will be open Monday- Saturday: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday: 7a.m.-9 p.m.

About BIGGBY COFFEE®
East Lansing, Mich.-based BIGGBY® COFFEE opened a single store in March of 1995 based on the founding principle that coffee-lovers and the coffee-curious alike would benefit from a less pretentious approach to the standard gourmet café paradigm. BIGGBY COFFEE introduced connoisseur-worthy drinks with pronounceable names like Teddy Bear and Caramel Marvel, and barista staff surprises guests with simple gestures like free kazoos and bouncy balls for no other reason than to brighten their day. The “Big ‘B’” on the orange background caught on, and today BIGGBY COFFEE has 144 cafes open or under contract across seven states including Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, South Carolina, Wisconsin and Texas.  For more information, visit biggby.com.
