BIGGBY® COFFEE is Opening a Brand New Location in Battle Creek, Michigan
Battle Creek, MI, April 8, 2016–BIGGBY® COFFEE is excited to announce the Grand Opening of a brand new store in Battle Creek, MI on Tuesday, April 12, 2016! This brand new drive-thru store is located in the Wattle Park area of Emmett Township on E. Michigan Avenue in the Lakeside Professional Center in front of the Lakeside Apartments (1125 E. Michigan Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49014). This will be the first location for Charles Solano. He is an MSU grad who grew to love BIGGBY® from his college days spent hitting the books and sipping on some much-needed coffee. “I remember during those college days being a frequent customer of the first few stores on and near campus. I always enjoyed the study environment and awesome drinks at BIGGBY®.”
What drew Charles to Battle Creek you ask? “I first became familiar with Battle Creek during the years of 1994-2000 while coming into town for my Marine Corps Reserve obligation. After graduating college, I lived in Chicago for nearly 5 years and then moved back to Battle Creek to work at Kellogg’s where I met my wife. I then took a job at Post Foods. I have been in Battle Creek now for nearly 10 years.” Charles, who will be the owner/operator along with two managers, has a real passion for his local community and the people in it. “I am excited about helping people start their day off with a great BIGGBY® beverage from our friendly staff! I am also eager to have the opportunity to support local community events. Feel free to come in to the store and propose your ideas to myself or my managers!” When asked about Charles’ specific interests he said, “The Men’s Club in Wattles Park is on my radar. I would like to help provide coffee and sponsorship for the many youth leagues that take place. My wife and I are also animal lovers, we consider our two labs part of the family. I would love the opportunity to help local animal shelters!”

They will be open Monday through Saturday 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sunday 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. If you’re a new customer, or already a fanatic, Charles would like to offer up a couple of his favorites as a suggestion. “I love both the Caramel Marvel Latte and the Sugar Bear Latte, hot, iced, or frozen! We are very excited to help people start their day with a smile and a great beverage so come say hi, introduce yourself, and B part of our BIGGBY® family!”

One year later, and on the cusp of opening a second location, Bob Fish and his business partner Michael McFall, on a handshake and $3,000, decided to franchise the concept.
