BEANER'S COFFEE to Open Roseville Location

Posted on October 19, 2007

Roseville, Mich., October 19, 2007 – BEANER’S COFFEE ®, the leading Lansing, Mich.-based coffee retailer, will celebrate the Grand Opening of its new location in Roseville on Monday.  The store marks the 11th Greater Detroit location for the rapidly expanding coffee franchise.

To celebrate, the Roseville location will offer free brewed coffee to its customers all week long beginning Monday, October 22 at 6 a.m.  In addition, customers can sign up for a drawing to win free coffee for a year.  The winner will be announced at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, October 26th at 10:30 a.m.

The new store comes on the heels of the company’s announcement last month that it will change its name from BEANER’S COFFEE to BIGGBY COFFEE.  The Roseville location will open with a BEANER’S sign and will transition to BIGGBY early next year.

It is the first BEANER’S location for husband and wife team Patrick O’Dell and Dana Freers.  “We actually met in East Lansing, where BEANER’S is a coffee tradition,” said O’Dell.  “We found out that there were franchise opportunities available, so we jumped at the chance to start our own BEANER’S here in Roseville.”

The 1,800 square-foot store is located at 26740 Gratiot Avenue, just south of I-696.  The store—open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday—will feature drive-thru service, free wireless internet access, a fireplace and plentiful comfortable seating.

The new location is part of a larger plan to double the number of Detroit-area stores over the next 16 months.  In the past two months the company has added locations in Royal Oak and Clinton Township and will add another in Westland at the end of the month.  The Detroit-area growth is in line with the Company’s plan to expand its retail presence in the U.S. by 60% by 2010.
