On May 18th, the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce (SWCRC) closed their nomination period for this years award celebration, the Women of Achievement Awards. The SWCRC will proudly recognize some of the most outstanding women in our region who have made a major impact on the Downriver community with the “Kyle F. Stack Leadership Award,” “Entrepreneur Award,” and “Unsung Heroine Award!” The Chamber will also honor an emerging young professional in our community with the “Distinguished Young Woman Award.”

BIGGBY® COFFEE is thrilled to congratulate two of their very own Franchise Owners in the Downriver area, Diane Parker and Sydney Hovious, for their nominations of the SWCRC Women of Achievement Awards presented by Beaumont Health! Diane Parker, owner of BIGGBY® COFFEE Flat Rock, was nominated for the Entrepreneur Award while Sydney Hovious of BIGGBY® COFFEE – Dix Toledo – Southgate Michigan, was nominated for the Distinguished Young Woman Award.

All nominations were submitted through the SWCRC website. The nominee must be a member in good standing of the chamber. Additionally, the winner is chosen anonymously, making the materials submitted with the nomination critical in determining the recipient of each award. We have a number of great nominees in each category this year, and are excited to honor outstanding women at this prestigious event!
