KALAMZOO WELCOMES BIGGBY COFFEE LOCATION TO PORTAGE RD.
Local husband and wife team set to open café near airport on October 11th; will celebrate with drink specials!
KALAMAZOO, Mich., Sept. 15, 2011 – Born and raised in the Kalamazoo area, Susan Peterson says she has found her calling! A calling that is based upon being happy, having fun, making friends, loving people and drinking great coffee – BIGGBY COFFEE, that is!
Area residents should not be surprised then, when they see her smiling face behind the counter in Kalamazoo’s newest BIGGBY, located at 5401 Portage Rd. set to open Tuesday, October 11th.
“I love the warm, friendly and fun experience BIGGBY COFFEE gives you the second you walk through the door,” Peterson said. “I was ready for something new in my life and something that would allow me to interact with people and make them smile… owning a BIGGBY lets me do exactly that.”
Along with her husband, Ben, Susan will operate the store, which is located by the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, directly off Interstate 94. They will celebrate their store’s grand opening by offering hot or iced Caramel Marvel Lattes for 99 cents and will also feature other 99cents drinks throughout the rest of the week! “I am thrilled to open and start serving customers from both the Kalamazoo area and beyond,” Peterson said. “Our location is perfect with several businesses around us, travelers coming to and from the area and those searching for a pit-stop off the highway.”
Owners of another small business in the area, Susan and Ben said they will continue their support for Kalamazoo and the surrounding areas by becoming involved with different local organizations and by welcoming all types of fundraising requests at their store.
“It’s very important to us that our store is an extension of our community,” Susan said. “I love this area too much to not be a part of it!”
The location will feature a convenient drive-thru window, and will be open 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Sundays.
