Long time restaurateur opens BIGGBY COFFEE franchise in Caledonia, Mich.
EAST LANSING, Mich. May 13, 2013 – BIGGBY COFFEE and Michael Brann Jr. opened a new location in Caledonia, Mich. on June 18, 2013. Longtime employee of Brann, Heather Maynard, is the store’s general manager and she states that Caledonia’s community has already garnered a positive response to the opening.
“Caledonia is an outstanding community and we have been able to get involved with it. Because we are from this area, we know what the needs are here. We received great feedback from Caledonia about the opening of our BIGGBY store, and everyone seems to be getting really excited,” said Maynard.
Brann currently owns a restaurant located directly behind his new BIGGBY store, Brann’s Steakhouse and Sports Grille. Since opening it in August 2011, Brann has been itching to get into the coffee and tea business. Brann’s parents have owned and operated “Brann’s Restaurant” in Grand Rapids Mich., and Brann thought it was time to branch out into something new.
Caledonia’s BIGGBY COFFEE store features a drive-thru, free Wi-Fi and the full BIGGBY COFFEE menu of gourmet coffee, tea and frozen drinks. The store hours are Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
In 2013, BIGGBY COFFEE was rated by Franchise Business Review (FBR) as a top 50 franchise in America pertaining to franchisee satisfaction. BIGGBY COFFEE was also rated as a top 20 food and beverage franchise for franchisee satisfaction in the same report. FBR conducted a random survey to more than 4,000 different franchisees across the country in order to find the most satisfying franchises to own.
