Select West MI BIGGBY® COFFEE Locations Partner with Hand2Hand to Help Fight Hunger
East Lansing, MI, October 4, 2018– BIGGBY® COFFEE will be collecting donations to fight hunger for local children so they can succeed physically, academically and emotionally. Select West Michigan BIGGBY® locations will have bins set up in the store during the month of October to collect certain food items like trail mix, oatmeal, granola bars and fruit cups. BIGGBY® COFFEE has joined forces with Hand2Hand, a West Michigan organization responsible for mobilizing schools and churches to provide children with adequate food for the weekends, to reach and help as many local children as possible.

Financial donations are also welcomed and can be made at h2hkids.org/donate where a drop down menu will appear for “Donation Campaign” and “BIGGBY” will be listed as a selection.
As fall transitions to winter and the school year is in full swing, temperatures drop and bills rise. The unfortunate reality is that many families do not have the means to provide comprehensive nutrition for their school-aged children. During the week, these children are often nourished by school lunches and possibly breakfasts. The real struggle occurs over the weekend. Thankfully, organizations like Hand2Hand have dedicated their efforts to increasing accessibility to food during this time of the week.

In 2018, BIGGBY® launched an Area Representative Program and currently has 4 area representatives in 4 states.
