BIGGBY® COFFEE IS OPENING THE SECOND UPPER PENINSULA LOCATION IN MARQUETTE

MI MARQUETTE, MI, 6/23/2015 – BIGGBY® COFFEE is slated to open its second location in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on Tuesday June, 23, 2015 at the corner of US41 and Wright street, next to the Arby’s and U.P Hair Company. Owned by the Palmer Family; Rodney, Eileen, Austin, and Landon, the store will be managed full time by, Landon Palmer who lives in Marquette. “We had the option of putting our second store in several locations in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. After touring through a couple towns, there was not a doubt in our minds that Marquette was where we wanted to have our store. We’ve spent a good chunk of our lives up here in the U.P., Marquette being one of those places, it simply does not get better than Marquette.” Landon said. “Marquette is hands down the coolest, most unique, and exciting place to live in Michigan. I have been very passionate about the U.P for my entire life, especially Marquette. The people are genuine, the scenery is breathtaking, and I can’t think of anywhere else in the world that I’d rather open a BIGGBY® COFFEE.” The Palmer family has a home and relatives in the U.P., in Rock, MI a small town located just south of Marquette.

Landon and the Palmer family are not just excited to be bringing BIGGBY® to Marquette but they are looking forward to becoming part of the community and the atmosphere. “Every time I cross the bridge and enter the U.P, I am immediately overwhelmed with excitement, fresh air, and friendly interactions from the most genuine people you will ever meet. There is no place I would rather live, spend my time, and serve BIGGBY® COFFEE. The city of Marquette is full of amazing businesses, people, and a unique culture of its own.” Palmer said.

[B]ing involved in the community is a BIGG deal to BIGGBY® COFFEE. Landon and the Palmer family have enjoyed working with Marquette businesses to get their new store ready for the Grand Opening on June 23rd. Once BIGGBY® Marquette is up and brewing, Landon plans on becoming heavily involved within the community. According to Landon “It’s a close knit community, so I’m excited to work with other businesses and help this community thrive.” He aims to form partnerships with the Chamber of Commerce, Northern Michigan University, and Marquette Schools along other community organization and non-profits. These represent just a small portion of the ways BIGGBY® Marquette plans to get involved.

Stop in and help Landon celebrate the Grand Opening of the U.P.’s second BIGGBY® COFFEE. Located at the corner of US41 and Wright Street, next to the Arby’s and U.P Hair Company (3165 Wright St, Marquette, MI 49855) the store will be open Monday through Saturday 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sunday 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. Landon recommends the Carmel Marvel® to new customers, either hot or frozen, but also says to ask any of the baristas for suggestions. “I can guarantee you that we have a drink that you will like, even if you’re not a coffee drinker!”
