Father, Son Team Open New BIGGBY COFFEE Location

Novi, Mich., May 1, 2008 – East Lansing Mich.-based coffee retailer, BIGGBY COFFEE, will open a new location in Novi on Tuesday, May 6. The new store, located at 43346 Grand River Ave., at the corner of Novi Road & Grand River, will offer free brewed coffee for the entire week in celebration of its opening.
The café, open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays, features free wireless internet and plentiful soft seating paired with its signature specialty coffee drinks. It is the first BIGGBY franchise for father and son team Leigh and Mike Waltersdorf.
“I was looking to open a coffee franchise and began research to see what opportunities were out there,” said Mike Waltersdorf. “I’ve seen a lot of new BIGGBY stores pop up, so I identified it right away as an excellent opportunity. Afterwards, I found out my dad was already in talks with the company franchise team, so we took it as a sign that this was meant to be.”
BIGGBY COFFEE® launched as a single café in East Lansing, Mich. just 13 years ago. The new store will bring nearly 20 new full and part-time jobs to Novi.
