BIGGBY® New Hudson Honored by Kensington Valley, Oakland County, and State of Michigan
East Lansing, MI, May 23, 2019–BIGGBY® COFFEE is excited to honor BIGGBY® New Hudson on the accomplishment of earning the title of 2019 Kensington Valley Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year by the Kensington Valley Chamber of Commerce and the State of Michigan, as well as 2019 Business of the Year by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners!
BIGGBY® New Hudson, located at 30771 Milford Rd., has been in operations since 2014 and has displayed an incredible amount of care, vigor, and dedication to the New Hudson and surrounding communities. BIGGBY® COFFEE is proud to have such a location serving their coffee and displaying what BIGGBY® COFFEE is all about, and is honored to see them recognized in such a large way!
Through their support of and dedication to the community they serve, BIGGBY® New Hudson has shown over the years what BIGGBY® COFFEE is all about: the friendly coffee community, a place of love and support, a place where the people served are just as important as the coffee poured. Because of this, the Kensington Valley Chamber of Commerce, as well as the State of Michigan, have named BIGGBY® New Hudson the 2019 Kensington Valley Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year.
Alongside that, BIGGBY® New Hudson has been recognized by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners as 2019 Business of the Year. The Oakland County Board of Commissioners honored owner/operator Karissa Canfield and her staff at BIGGBY® New Hudson as a “small business enhanc[ing] the local economy and quality of life for residents…and truly embody[ing] the spirit of community and giving back,” for the many hours Canfield and her employees have dedicated to building up their community through fundraising, community involvement, and sending care packages to troops in war zones through the Desert Angel non-profit organization.
“We love being involved in the community, so for others to recognize what we’re doing, it makes us feel validated and know that we’re making a difference,” Canfield said. “It’s validation that we can keep doing what we’re doing—and more!”
