BIGGBY COFFEE OPENS FIRST WATERFORD AREA LOCATION
New Location to Give Free Brewed Coffee for First Week
DETROIT, October 7, 2008 – East-Lansing based BIGGBY COFFEE is opening its first Waterford area location on Tuesday, Oct 14th at 5623 Dixie Highway in the Waterfall Plaza. Waterford area residents will “B Happy” to know that the new location will give away free brewed coffee in celebration of its opening week.
First-time franchisee Kari Mascar is pursuing a long standing dream to open the business after a lengthy and successful career as director of Bay City-based Lutheran Child & Family Service, a jointly owned subsidiary of Lutheran Child and Family Service of Michigan and Lutheran Social Services. “I was privileged to be part of more than 1,300 adoptions over the course of my career, and if I can transition that same kind of dedication and spirit of service to my BIGGBY COFFEE store, then I have done my job” said Mascar.
Soft seating, free wireless access and flat screen televisions are a few of the amenities guests to BIGGBY COFFEE in Waterford will enjoy, along with a fun, inviting atmosphere. The store is open 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Sundays.
A Michigan-founded and grounded company, the Waterford BIGGBY COFFEE location marks the franchise’s 104th location. There are currently 103 stores operating in eight states, and another 67 under contract to open over the next 24 months.
The new store will bring nearly 20 new full-and part-time jobs to the area.
