My husband and I met at Biggby Coffee Defiance when I was a barista, and he was a customer. I handed him a drink at the drive-thru and now, 16 years later, we have an 11 year old son named Teddy! Perhaps he was named after the Teddy Bear latte… 🫶

I met my husband at Biggby Coffee Flat Rock when he was their manager back in 2016. While we didn’t start dating until 2020 we would constantly be running into each other while either borrowing items from each other’s stores or at AFM. When he starting his teaching job during Covid he lived near our location and would be in our driving thru every morning and would stick around for quite some time. Finally when places started opening up he asked me to grab a drink with him - and while it couldn’t be a BIGGBY coffee for our first drink we have had many many since. Now we are married, opened our Brownstown location (Biggby Coffee Brownstown) together (of course also with my dad - who will forever say he knew Josh first), and come April, Josh and I will be adding a Strawberry Magic Milk to our regular BIGGBY order 💕 so thank you BIGGBY for bringing us together and always giving us the perfect cup of coffee each morning to enjoy together 🥰

I started working at Biggby when I was just sixteen years old. It was more than a job—I basically grew up there with the O'Connors.
The summer of 2010, I interviewed a new hire named Mike. We were both eighteen. My sister happened to be in the coffee shop that day too, sipping her drink and relaxing before work. When Mike walked in wearing a hot pink polo shirt, all three of us baristas exchanged the same look. He was so handsome that it was impossible not to notice.

I barely remember the interview itself—but I do remember what came after. My two coworkers, my sister, and I all immediately started talking about him, and I jokingly announced, “Y'all can’t have him—you’re already married!” None of us knew how right that comment would turn out to be.
I became Mike’s trainer for his first two weeks. Somewhere between learning drink recipes and closing shifts, a friendship began to form. One day I asked what his friends called him, expecting “Mike” or “Michael.” He smiled and said, “Mikey B.” From that moment on, he was Mikey B to me—and always would be.

Our whole barista crew spent time together outside of work—grabbing meals, going bowling, just enjoying being young. About six months later, Mikey B and I became boyfriend and girlfriend. Eventually, I made the difficult decision to leave my position at the store—it wasn’t proper for us to work together—but by then, my heart already knew where it belonged.

In 2014, Mikey B proposed in the most thoughtful way imaginable: a scavenger hunt. One of the clues asked, “Where did we first meet?” My sister and I drove together to Biggby #206, where the girls behind the counter handed us “pre-ordered” drinks Mikey had arranged earlier that day. It was the perfect full-circle moment—romantic, intentional, and deeply meaningful.

Life carried us far from where it all began. We moved from Michigan to Charleston, South Carolina… and somehow, wonderfully, there are Biggbys here too!

Today, we’ve been married for over ten years. We have a beautiful daughter, a life filled with love, and a story that still makes our hearts flutter. We are still madly in love—and it all started behind the counter at Biggby #206.

My husband and I have been together for the past ten years 💕 We thankfully met because of a lifelong friend and coworker Caitlin! We would’ve never met if it wasn’t for Caitlin and I working together at Biggby Coffee ☕️ So not only has BIGGBY given me a best friend for life, but also my husband and 2 daughters. Pretty grateful 🥹

I started working at Biggby coffee in a new town, where I had recently moved because of school. I previously worked at a Biggby in my hometown and was looking for something familiar.

My (now) fiancé was a regular and would come through almost every morning for a “Large frozen Butter Bear and a turkey havarti Asiago extra cream cheese”. Being a “PERC”fectionist (see what I did there my biggby people 😉) my coworkers and I knew his order by heart and I began to inquire about what else my coworkers knew about him.

I went home for the holidays and my “old ladies” began to investigate and match make. After coming back to work after Christmas, he came through, I hid in the back, and my manager encouraged me to come to the window and speak with him. He gave me his number, I texted him a couple days later, and the rest is history❤️

My husband and I met at Biggby Coffee - 661 N Cedar St. Mason, MI for the first time. Exactly 1 year later, he took me back to the same exact table to propose. 🥰 We still visit “our Biggby” very frequently (weekly), and we make it a special tradition to take our kids there on our anniversary, too (7.5 years and counting!)!

I was working at a biggby coffee and I had a regular who would come in everyday on his lunch break. After seeing him come in a few times we started to talk as I wanted to get to know my regulars, and one day I heard him talking about a card game that I also play, so I joined in on the conversation. A few days later he texted me and asked if we could play sometime, and we’ve been together since!

Amy Heikkila

I was a Manager/ Barista at Wonderland Biggby and shortly after our grand opening, we began to have regulars. Michael M. Heikkila quickly became one of our favorites. He was a seasoned Mechanic and stopped in for coffee and conversation almost every workday morning.

He had a great smile, laugh and would tell us great stories about his family. He even brought in pictures of his Dad’s reindeer in Finland! I had only ever had two Mechanics work on my cars- my Dad, and a “kid” that my Dad had mentored while he was an Assistant Superintendent for a school district.

My Dad would pop into the auto class and took a liking to this young man. Years later, he worked on my car and then he went overseas to help the military with their vehicles. I turned to Mike in my time of need. I asked him to be my Mechanic. Now, we became friends and were both married. He was going through a divorce and a few years later I found myself in the same situation. I no longer worked for Biggby, I was in HR by then, he was still my Mechanic and he took a chance and asked me out! We have been together 10 years this year and married 8!
All because he stopped for coffee! ❤️

My husband and I met when we were both working full time at the Biggby home office back In 2016, after walking by each other not saying a word for so long unless i needed a printer fixed 🤣 Never thought I'd meet the love of my life at work, or have it be one of the "nerdy IT guys" 🤓 ...but here we are living our best and most happy life!! All because of a message I sent about his loud red car he drove to work 🚗 💝
