BIGGBY® COFFEE is Opening a Brand New Location in Grand Rapids, MI!
Grand Rapids, MI, August 12, 2016–BIGGBY® COFFEE is excited to announce the Grand Opening of a brand new store in Grand Rapids, MI on Friday, August 12, 2016! This brand new store is located in the new AVASTAR Development, in front of the old GM Trim Plant on Alpine (2200 Alpine Ave NW, Suite A, Grand Rapids, MI 49544). This is the third BIGGBY® location for owner/operators Sam and Josh Schmidt. “Before we opened our first BIGGBY® in 2010, we knew we wanted to be in the coffee service business because that market had great growth potential and we liked the idea of a coffee shop where people could gather, have fun, meet others, become friends, and drink great coffee. We learned early on that BIGGBY®COFFEE offered that exact opportunity along with tremendous, loving support. It is almost unbelievable the structure that they have put in place. We are now opening our third store because of the same factors, only this time we know these things, and more, from experience!”
Sam, Josh, and their team are excited about their store’s location and as Sam is a GM retiree, he is especially honored to be involved in business in front of the former site of the GM Trim Plant. “We are also excited about the new schools that will be involved in our monthly Art Contests,” said Sam. “We get involved with MS, Walker City, GVSU, special community events, and local churches. One of our more active passions in the community involves the Art Departments within the schools located near us. We feel that the art contests are one of the ways we can engage our communities and to us, being involved with the youth of our community is an awesome engagement indeed! In addition to a donation from us to that specific art department, we end up being a place where people gather, have fun, meet others, make friends, and drink great coffee. It doesn’t get any better than that!”
Stop in and help the Schmidt family celebrate the Grand Opening of their new BIGGBY® store! They will be open Monday through Saturday 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sunday 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. Sam would like to offer up a drink suggestion when you visit the new store. “I love a quad super Caramel Marvel, extra hot, no whip…that’s my perfect drink! But you can’t go wrong with a barista suggestion. Let them help you find your perfect drink! It’s what we’re best at!”
BIGGBY® COFFEE, East Lansing, Mich.-based, was started with a single store on March 15, 1995. One year later, and on the cusp of opening a second location, Michael McFall and Bob Fish, on a handshake and $4,000, decided to franchise the concept.
